Sports academies offers children, young people and adults of all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to enjoy and participate in training mentored by qualified and experienced coaches. The football delivery model focuses on player technical development.
1) We use sport to engage with communities to build a cohesive environment, as well as qualifying local residents to help them move into sustainable employment whether it is with our program or another.
2) To give opportunity to communities that may not have been able to obtain privileges others do.
We have over 10 years experience of building community sport academies. We originally set up in the Olympic park to continue the Olympic legacy for London's brand new neighborhood E20. With over 5000 members we have been able to create a community football, athletics, boxing and tennis project for the residents of the Olympic park and beyond.
Hamza started of as one of the player members of the E20 Football Foundation, 10 years ago, Hamza played for Football Unites, and has now gone onto playing for semi-pro clubs. Hamza is a part time coach combining studying sport with coaching and also still hopes to pursue his goals of becoming a professional football player.
Founder of the E20 Football Foundation and Football Unites, ex 400m International Athlete and semi professional footballer. Current Head of School, Lead Safeguarding Officer in the Education field and Head Coach at the E20 Football Foundation.
Luke has been a player and coach at E20 Football Foundation and Football Unites FC for 4 years. Luke has played professional international Football as well gaining his coaching qualifications. Luke works part time for the academy as Head coach. Luke overseas the academy Club and all age groups. Luke is also studying sports coaching.
Joseph started of a Goal keeper coach volunteer. Joseph played as a professional Algerian goal keeper. His professional career led him to continue his passion as a coach. He has been with Football Unites as a goal keeper coach for 3 years.
Coach Ben is a Coach at E20 football Foundation and assistant manager at Football Unites. Ben lives in E20 and coaches all age group sessions. As one of the parents of E20, Ben was interested in joining the academy to support and build a stronger community.
Co-founder of E20 Football Foundation and Football Unites. Fatima currently works as a senior manager in education as well first aid officer at the academy. Fatima has dedicated herself to community grass roots projects.
A current Head Coach and technical director at the E20 Football Foundation and Football Unites. Josemar also currently works with Charlton Under 18's Learning Academy. Josemar has been awarded a prestigious coaching award at Westminster for his commitment to community coaching.
Coach Wesley started off as a player at Football Unites. A resident of Newham, Wesley took an interest in sports coaching. Wesley has became a coach at the academy. Wesley is our girls team coach. He is looking to further his career in sport and is completing a sports science degree.
